Metro-Gnome is a three-piece geek-rawk band from Regina Saskatchewan.
Donny Reddekop (guitar/ vocals) graduated in 2000 from Winston Knoll, Ray Aldred (Drums) was a 2001 graduate from Winston
Knoll, and Michael Horacki (Bass) was a 2000 graduate from O'Neill High-school.
Metro-Gnome started in 2001 when Donny and Ray
(formerly of The Fat Internet Girlfriends) decided they wanted to head in a direction different from their band mates. Michael (who was just coming out a three-year break from music) was just returning
from Calgary at the time of the F.I.G. breakup. Michael met Donny working at
Noran-Tel assembling electronic components. Once Donny met Mike, he passed on
the title of Ugliest kid in the world to him. Shortly after, however, Michael
moved to Calgary. Upon his return to Regina, Michael fell into the role of Bassist
in Donnys new brain-child: Metro-Gnome.

Recently, Metro-Gnome has done
shows locally and been booked with such bands as: Linger, The Constantines, A Slaves War, and Gentleman Reg. Metro-Gnome is slowly gaining a reputation as one of Reginas most original and entertaining acts. The underground Demo recently released was recorded off of a digital video
camera, and despite the poor sound quality, it displays the unheard of songwriting and performance abilities that are quickly
gaining Metro-Gnome a loyal following locally. Metro-Gnome is currently unsigned
and is in the process of fund raising to produce a professional demo
